Enjoy PEI deep sea fishing – the experience of a lifetime on the scenic waters of the Gulf of St. Lawrence!

In addition to the hands-on experience and excitement of catching fish, highlights include beautiful scenery and sunsets, marine life and bird sightings, an underwater camera, marine education and fun for the whole family!

PEI Deep Sea Fishing Experience

We’re pleased to offer 3 trips per day, each one lasting about 3 hours.  PEI deep sea fishing trips leave from our location in North Rustico, PEI.

• 8:00 am  - Morning sailing
• 1:15 pm – Afternoon sailing
• 6:00 pm – Evening sailing

Fishing trips start on July 2nd and continue until the end of September.

Prices (in Canadian dollars and including tax) are $40/adult and $30/child under 12.

Our vessel, the Jason D 2000, is a 45′ fiberglass boat with a capacity of 18 passengers and there is a washroom on board.  It also features an underwater camera.

All fishing equipment including rods, reels, and rain gear are supplied and your catch is cleaned, filleted, and bagged for you.  Many types of fish are caught and the types you can keep include cod, mackerel, and herring.

While PEI deep sea fishing types of marine life that you may see include minkie, humpback and pilot whales, seals, dolphins and porpoises.  And you’ll often get to see bald eagles, gamuts and seagulls.

To ensure the safety of guests while PEI deep sea fishing, we have government inspected life rafts, life jackets, and ring buoys on board.  Our vessel is also government inspected and approved. Captains Jason and Jamie Doucette are certified Captains by the Canadian Coast Guard and Transport Canada with a combined 25 years of experience.

Our family has been working in the fishing industry for 3 generations guiding PEI deep sea fishing charters.

Barry Doucette’s Deep Sea Fishing started over 30 years ago when Barry expanded his commercial lobster fishing business to include deep sea fishing charters.

His sons Jason and Jamie started fishing at an early age, and after 25 years in business, Barry decided the time was right for them to take over the family owned and operated business.

Jason and Jamie are both certified Captains by the Canadian Coast Guard – Jason for 15 years and Jamie for 10 years.  In addition to offering deep sea fishing trips, but they are both commercial lobster fisherman.

Jason D 2000 - PEI Deep Sea Fishing

Their vessel, the Jason D 2000, is government-approved and inspected by the Canadian Coast Guard.

The 45′ fiberglass boat was built in 2000 and is powered by a 430 hp diesel engine.
